Hi doctors. i have a complex renal cyst with one papilla along with two simple cysts. complex cyst was simple a yeat ago. should i or if i should not get a cat scan for the complex cyst with the papilla now, or monitor and recheck in 3 to 6 months?

You can choose either option. If the complex cyst is confirmed with repeated US in 3 months, there is still time for CT scan with IV contrast at that time even if malignant lesion is suspected because malignant lesion of the kidney progresses slowly in general. Size of the questionably complex cyst is also helpful & a cyst of less than 2 cm can be safely rechecked in 3 months.
