Hi there,my dad had a catheter for after urine retention due to known bph about a year back. 4 days later hospital removed it after u/s. i am not sure if they also did u/s of kub. but now he has an apple size urothelial ca in one renal calyx ?

Your question is not clear. Catheterization for BPH and renal carcinoma are unrelated. If you feel the hospital should have investigated him for renal cancer, that is debatable.

There war no indication to do a renal ultrasound with urinary retention but was for a urinalysis/ Hope he does well
