Once BPH is diagnosed with or without radiologic evidence there is NOT ALWAYS need for repeated CT or ultrasound if it recurs. However, if severe bladder retention happens with acute kidney injury by blood tests, US or CT should be done for checking the severity of bilateral hydronephrosis & imaging test will be repeated several weeks later for evaluating the resolution.
