Hello, i took pep after 45hrs of potential exposures for 28 days and tested with a 4th gen test 2 days after and it came back neg. have been extremely stressed over the past days and wanted to know if the neg test mean anything after 4wks of exposur?

Sorry, that test doesn't mean anything. With PEP, the window for test positivity starts not at exposure, but with the last dose of PEP. If PEP fails to prevent infection, tge AgAb (4th generation) HIV test takes up to 6 weeks after the last dose to be conclusive, and some experts advise final testing at 3 months. Negative tests at 3 and 4 weeks will be quite reassuring, however.
