Cervical length decreases over the months of your pregnancy as the baby and uterus become bigger. This is not affected by any kind of sexual penetration, but rather occurs due to hormonal changes and physical growth of the uterus. This is a normal process and allows the cervix to become ready for delivery, when it will need to be very thin and stretch wide.
