Uncontrolled hypertension may cause symptoms to include dizziness, lightheaded, headaches, visual changes, and chest pain. Dizziness can also be side effects to medications. Hypertension can lead to heart, kidney, and vascular disease. It is best to see the prescribing primary care provider and evaluating how to best control the blood pressure to the goal level and other causes of dizziness.

I agree with Dr. G. 2.5 mgs of amlodipine is a tiny dose. Your physician may agree to increase that dose to 5 or 10 mgs daily and add a low dose longacting diuretic like hydrochlorothiazide in order to reach a BP goal of 130/80 or lower.
