A member asked:

I just got 2 dental implants 1 day ago. initially both of the caps were visible but now only 1 is visible. the other one seems to have been submerged in the gum even though initially, immediately after the surgery it wasn't. is this normal?

It might be due to the swelling around the implant. if it is not visible again in a5-7 days see your implant doc.

Quite normal. The implants and the healing cap are made out of titanium, a very biocompatible metal. Depending how thick the gingiva is superior to the implant, the cap is sometimes exposed, sometimes not. No worries.
