See DDS: Speak to the provider that placed the implant, it is quite probable that the dentist may want to do a clinical examination or place you on an antibiotic.

Implant Surgery: Each case is different. Most of the initial pain usually lasts just a day or two although since its a surgical procedure, it may last a week or so, each day getting better than the previous day. If you were prescribed pain medication take it as prescribed. If you can take it, Aleve works well to keep you relatively comfortable. For more information contact the dentist who did the surgery.
