A member asked:

Had my first colonoscopy at age 46. had 13 polyps 2 were small precancerous ones. second colonoscopy at age 48, 6 polyps found 1 was precancerous. is there any way i can have fap?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The number of polyps is much greater in FAP. The disease can be diagnosed with a blood test. It is imperative that you follow your doctor's advice about repeat colonoscopies.
