I had a colonoscopy at 18 due to pain, bleeding they found four polyps, one being a fap (familial adenomatous polyposis) why only one? more in future?

Fap: FAP: it means that you have a disease that runs in the family, which makes you prone to making a lot of polyps at a young age. Some of those can turn into cancer in the future. All your polyps are probably due to FAP. You need regular colonoscopies to screen for new polyps.
