My new psychiatrist also changed my wellbutrin from sr to xl and increased dosage from 150sr to 300 xl in the am to help with depression and smoking cessation. will this not give me anxiety?

Anxiety is one common side effect of wellbutrin, regardless of SR or XL formula. Yes, a higher dose usually has more side effect than a smaller dose but the overall risk is still less than 10%. However, if you have anxiety with a lower dose, it may be worse with a higher dose.
