How high? All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. You could ask for an MRI but preparation of prostate MRI is more troublesome than a prostate finger examination. Wish you good health!

Sometimes misconceptions about the prostate exam prevent it being done. It should be done by a Urologist very gently and carefully then there is no pain- just a mild discomfort for less than 10-15 seconds. It is important in the diagnosis of enlarged prostate. specially cancer . Explain your concern to the examining doc and things will go fine. Go for it
