There is no 'false positive' for a hiatal hernia. It is a visual diagnosis. Yes it is possible to misdiagnose it if the endoscopist is totally incompetent- which I doubt

4 months ago upper endoscopy positive for GERD, gastritis, and hiatal hernia. More recently I sometimes have right sided neck/shoulder/collarbone pain after (and infrequently during) eating. Unlikely to be anything insidious or malignant?
Three months ago I had an upper endoscopy positive for gastritis, reflux, and a hiatal hernia. Recently I've had sharp neck pain (from the clavicle to the jaw) during and after (an hour after) eating. Does this sound like GERD? Inflammation perhaps?
