A member asked:

I need clobetasol for my eczema but can't afford it. is there any otc alternative i can use?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually clobetasol is not very expensive when ordered as a generic and on good rx. Also, it is an extremely potent topical steroid. Suggest that you see a dermatologist for eval and advice. Perhaps oatmeal baths and otc emollients and anti itch creams might be beneficial along with oral low dose antihistamines. A good and cheaper substitute steroid would be Triamcinolone cream.
