Great question! eGFR less than 90 cc/min is stage 2 CKD by kidney website but it does not specify the age. Kidney function is naturally declining when people get older so if you have eGFR of 62 cc/min at 62 years old and there is no evidence of kidney disease such as abnormal kidney ultrasound/urine test, your function is normal. Quest's reference range shouldn't apply to people younger than 60.
