It's the rice: Starch is a type of sugar that provokes an immediate Insulin response which typically overshoots the required amount necessary to lower the blood sugar. This leads to an abrupt drop in blood sugar, although not necessarily a low value, which makes one feel weak and/or hungry. Try leaving out the rice or replacing it with a legume such as beans, a different type of starch.
