Hormonal and other responses to food intake are responsible for the feeling, not a shrinking stomach. This is an entirely normal sensation and you should welcome it.

Yes, once your body adapts to a proper weight through portion control and eating a lot more healthy food , you can feel fuller after eating less. You can distend your stomach and make it larger by over eating. It can shrink back to a more normal size with eating healthier portions.
