A member asked:

Hello, i was abusing a diuretic for a very long time. now that i've stopped taking it, i've gained 5 kilos in 4 days. i feel like i'm swelling up all over, but it seems like i'm the only one who sees it. i'm wondering if you know if this will go away?

Surreptitiously diuretic use is dangerous and not the right way to lose weight. You should stop it indefinitely and accept some weight gain. You should cut down salty foods for a week or so, hopefully you may lose back a couple pounds. Exercise, low calories (low carb & fat) and high protein diet are the right way to lose weight.
