Yes but need work up: Such a large lung mass is a cause for concern. Please talk to your doctor about the next step of evaluation. It may be a chest ct and lung biopsy. Some of other possible causes besides a malignancy is a benign fibrous tumor, a loculated pleural fluid (a so called pseudotumor), a rounded peneumonia, or a rounded atelectasis.

Yes: Pneumonia, benign tumors, cysts, and even congenital lung lesions such as sequestrations can present this way. Try to keep a positive outlook until this is thoroughly evaluated.
