A member asked:

In a lung x-ray, how can a radiologist tell "scar tissue" from a mass, i.e. cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Challenging: This can be challenging, but serial imaging could help. Scar tissue will remain stable while mass will be stable or increase in size depending on if it is malignant or benign
