Is 5mg of eliquis twice a day enough for a dvt or do you have to start with the 10mg twice a day for a week?

I'm an advocate of 10 mgs twice a day for the first week followed by 5 mgs twice a day for the duration of treatment for the dvt. I do know some clinicians begin with 5mgs twice a day though. We usually ask you to adhere to your MD's instructions however.
