Infection: Pain and swelling means infection, most common is a pericoronitis. Antibiotics and warm salt water rinses will help. I recommend a dental visit asap.

Possibly sounds: Like pericoronitis. Recommend seeing a dentist or oral surgeon as soon as possible. In the interim 3-4 advils (ibuprofen) every 6-8 hours, peroxide-water warm rinse 4x/day. Topical anesthetic (orajel) type might also help. Feel better. All the best.
