Stones can and do pass and may trigger pain traveling from kidneys to the bladder and then from the bladder through the outlet. When you have one stone you can also shed others. You may have moved it to the bladder where it could sit forever, or then move to the outlet.

This size stone has overwhelming chance of passage if not in the calyces (Small collecting ducts inside the kidney). Strain your urine when you pass it, drink los of water and repeat the Xray/ ulrasound if you do not catch it- to make sure
