Tumor and hematuria?: If your kidney stone doc cannot give you guidance, go to a urologist. You need an imaging study of your kidneys and a visualization of your bladder, if your kidneys are free of disease, to see if you have a tumor. You will also need a urine culture to make sure the blood you have is not from a uti. Good luck and see a urologist quickly.

Stones : Stuck in ureters are very painful and characteristic. They do not always produce overt blood. Hematuria work up is done by a urologist. A work up may involve the lab, x-rays, and investigations including cystoscopy and retrograde tests of the upper tracts. A tumor of the urethra, bladder, ureters or kidneys are on the differential list, none likely in a 20 year old.
