At your age and history of hypertension, I would recommend acetaminophen (tylenol) as needed first before using ibuprofen. Episodic use of NSAID is still risky than taking acetaminophen although ibuprofen is more active. If acetaminophen is not helpful, taking aspirin 325 mg with food as needed is safer than ibuprofen or naproxen if you have a strong stomach.
