I keep getting patches of red dots on my legs and i dont know what could be causing it. i walk most of the day due to my job and due a fair amount a lifting, could this be a cause?

Red dots can be an allergic reaction or a sign of bug bites. Depending on the insect, the bites may be in a linear configuration (spider), scattered irregularly (fleas) or slightly larger and raised (mosquitos). Chemical allergies can show as red patches, with or without red spots, or even a discrete patch of just red dots. Benadryl can help reduce the allergic reaction.

It could be related to your occupation. I've seen this in a few older patients, one was a barber. The red dots are petechiae, tiny spots of blood leakage caused by capillary fragility and hours of standing. The term, capillaritis is used in the diagnosis. Avoid aspirin,advil type meds,take vitamin C and wear compression stockings at work. I hope this helps.
