Ive got multiple submandibular lymph nodes at each side of my jaw. they are just above 1.5cm and ive had them for 3 years. i have no symptoms of infection or lymphoma. the nodes are mobile and bean shaped too and im unsure of change. is this cancer?

No, You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health!

General principle: tumor-bearing nodes are usually firm and nontender and may be matted or fixed to the skin or underlying structures. Well localized nodes you described do not deserve extra attention other than annual exams.
