What happens at a pediatric cardiology outpatient appointment?

Same things that happen at the majority of regular visits, detailed medical history, focused medical exam with possible tests as decided based on findings.

Much the same as an initial visit with a new pediatrician: complaint, history, physical, review of medications and family history. Depending on the complaint, an electrocardiogram, echocardiogram may be part of the visit. Depending on the complaint, a stress exercise test may be scheduled. Be sure to write down a list of questions or concerns to bring to the visit.
