I started a course of amoxicillin for a tooth infection 48 hours ago. now i have a yeast infection. can i start a monistat treatment with probiotics to help support balance or will it just come back due to 7 days left on antibiotics?

Antibiotics certainly can trigger yeast growth and yeast infection symptoms. However, two days is too soon; you might have been on the verge of symptoms from yeast regardless of augmentin. Either way, miconazole (Monostat) alone probably is sufficient. The probiotic won't hurt, though.
