I noticed 4 small red specks in my stool today. i always check my stool and this is the first time this happened. i had a colonoscopy a year ago that came back clean. i am worried about this?

Not clear if the specks are blood or something else. Best to see PCP or Gastroenterologist and have stool checked for Blood and colonoscopy done, if indicated to avoid undue worrying.

What you observed were likely undigested food particles. You can buy at kit at a pharmacy to test your stool for blood. If it turns out to be positive for blood, see your doctor. Wish you good health!
