What is t2 hyperintensities throughout both kidneys mean?

This is a term used to see 'flared' areas in tissues on an MRI. The causes can be many and need to be interpreted with the reason ordered and signs and symptoms. So please have the ordering doc explain

An abnormal finding but the interpretation has to be based on other clinical findings. When we send a patient for a MRI of the abdomen and pelvis we always put down the indication for the study such as hematuria, flank pain, etc.
