Ive been on escitalpram 10mg for 5 years. for a while it helped me feel less anxious and get on with my life happily. now im always anxious/depressed/not sleeping properly. can antidepressants stop working? would i need to change to a diff one?

You need counseling again and a higher dose of escitalopram can be considered at the same time. When symptoms have improved, your doctor can re-adjust the maintenance dose. If a higher dose, a different antidepressant may be tried. Please re-contact your behavior team or get refer to see one if you have been treated by a family doctor.
