Vaginal group B strep can cause urinary tract infection, but usually is harmless to infected women. However, it can be quite dangerous to the baby and your doctor probably will treat you with an antibiotic to protect the baby. Discuss it with your doctor ASAP. YOU are not resistant to clindamycin, the strep is. It just means your doctor will need to use a different antibiotic. Good luck.
