Intercourse is one factor that leads to recurrent UTI's in some women. The activity involves their pee outlet & the mechanics of sex can introduce germs at the pee outlet. Many can reduce their rate of recurrence by emptying their bladder after intercourse, which can clear out some of the potential invaders. You don't give her a UTI, but the sex can increase the risk.

She should be. Sometimes uti like symptoms can occur in women depending on the vigorousness of sex and part of bladder impacted. So finding the right position with trial and error might avert the symptoms. She should also empty bladder after sex You wont get UTI from her even if she has it. Good luck
