I took a run bactrim for a suspected uti for 5 days. symptoms went away after about 2 days, but my anxiety has me feeling like the uti will come back. how long would i know i'm in the clear?

Given that you treated a UTI that was not confirmed by testing (common) it is not possible to know your outcome. The best treatments are directed by a urine culture where antibiotics are chosen based on their specific ability to kill off the identified germ. If your symptoms return, it may be better to do testing to guide treatment.

After the Rx is complete- start drinking a good amt of water, keep the area clean, dont hold urine for too long when you have the urge to void, empty your bladder after sex and you will be fine
