I have high platlet count 991 high wbc 13.5 and gaint platlets.. i have an appointment with a hemotologist/oncologist in 12 days.. very worried about this can this cause blot clots or stroke??please help.?

Your platelet count is quite high and there is a small risk of blood clots. The risk of blood clots is not all that significant unless the platelet count is over 1 million. Aspirin is a good drug to use if you are worried. One tablet daily is enough but do check it with the doctor(call the doctors office and speak with a doctor or nurse) whom you are going to see in 2 weeks.
