Stinging pain on your side while sitting could be referred pain from your hip joint or from your lower back. It could also be a form of neuropathy or mono-neuritis. If this is bothering you, may be best to have it evaluated by an orthopedist or a neurologist. If you don't have a primary care physician for ongoing care, consider choosing a virtual primary care physician on HealthTap.
