A member asked:

I'm allergic to bee sting, do i need to make a doctors appointment to get a prescription for injection and pills?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

How labeled: Those who have bee sting anaphylaxis verified by event &/or testing should have proper injection epinephrine available at all times. Pills are not effective treatment for major sting reactions. Injectable medications like epinephrine require prescriptions verified by office visit in the US. Many antihistamine pills that some take for bug bites are available OTC.
