Friend had squamous cell carcinoma in armpit spread to lymph nodes removed. post surgery he received a histology report but not a full path report? no grade, margin status or stage? is that normal? oncologist says no prob - just do radiation?

That will be unusual, unless the final report is still pending. A pathology report will include important details, including margins, grade, etc, sometimes slides are sent out to bigger centers for a second opinion from a pathologist specializing in such tumors.
