Can hiv rash only be on your hand/thumb area 66 days after exposure?

Rash from acute HIV infection typically occurs 2-3 days after the onset of fever and persists 5-8 days. Distribution of rash is often generalized, involving chest, face, extremities, palms, and soles. A variety of symptoms & signs associated with acute symptomatic HIV infection (fever, swollen glands, sore throat, rash, etc) were noted 2-4 weeks after exposure.

A rash on the hand/ thumb would not be suggestive of recent HIV infection. Have your hand evaluated by your doc as common infections will have to be ruled out.
