Hello! i had an annual cbc done and all was fine except a myelocyte of 1%. i had the test repeated and cbc was normal with no myelocytes. what couldve caused this? im super concerned of the things ive read on the internet. health anxiety too?

Your myelocytes are normal, they can be rarely seen in peripheral blood. It is likely that your health anxiety is triggered by abnormal or poorly explained findings. Talk to your doc about your worries.

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your results are not a cause for concern. Wish you good health!
