After my hellers myotomy i cannot have a bm (4weeks later) is it possible that surgery damaged my nerves? could they recover? i am on lots of medication from dr which is still not working currently and see surgeon next week?

I am assuming this surgery was on your esophagus? If so, then the nerves controlling the ability to produce a bowel movement should not have been affected. Either way you need to discuss with your primary care doctor about evaluation & treatment.
