Colonoscopy is absolutely indicated at your age for any rectal bleeding if it wasn't done in the last 10 years. Internal hemorrhoid is more likely the cause of the heavy bleeding than external hemorrhoid which commonly causes pain and discomfort along with blood on tissue. Frequent bleeding can cause anemia and in turn it may affect your overall wellness. See a surgeon or a GI specialist for help.
