Common: It is common to have sore throat and mild hoarseness after intubation for general anesthesia. Generally this resolves in a week or less. Review with your surgeon if the symptoms persist.

Yes: Sore throat after general endotracheal anesthesia should improved after 48 hrs. If associated with hoarseness after 4 days you should consult your anesthesiologist asap and or see an ENT surgeon asap too.

Yes: Four days after a general anesthetic requiring endotracheal intubation should not be causing you these persistent symptoms. Need to possibly see an ENT for thorough evaluation.

Talk to MD: This is a not unexpected complication from anesthesia. It should usually clear up within two days. If it last longer you may want to ask to see your anesthesiologist and have them check that nothing else is going on.
