Fatty liver was accidentally found out when an ultrasound was done for common bile duct stone. stone is now removed, i'm losing weight to tackle the fatty liver, but does fatty liver prevent the liver from recovering from bile duct obstruction?

No, those 2 conditions are affecting different tissues of the liver and acute biliary obstruction due to stone does not cause residual damage once the obstruction is relieved. Please continue your best effort to lose weight by diet and exercise.
