Your period does not cause high blood pressure and a high heart rate, nor is it likely that low iron is responsible. These should be evaluated by your doctor.

I agree with Dr. Brown. Iron deficiency anemia due to heavy period may cause tachycardia when changing position but blood pressure should not be high and in contrast BP often drops from supine to upright position. In the next couple weeks, you should continue monitoring heart rate and BP at various body position. If those changes persist, further evaluation is recommended.
