A member asked:

I have a small burn on my hand that's reached the itchy, flaky stage. what's the best way for me to speed up healing? i've been keeping it covered and using neosporin, but it's made the skin very soft/spongy.

Avoid trauma and sun: disappointingly, very little other than leaving the burn alone and avoiding sun seems to help. Several studies havent confirmed vit E or any other vitamin (and point out that putting it on may cause problems). Aquafor or other 'greasy' products may help avoid cracking etc. Sun definite does not help.
