Today i went for a run and near the end i got a stitch in my side, this isnt out of the ordinary, i usually get them if i havent ran for a while, but i also got what feels like a stitch in my neck, above my right collarbone. should i be concerned?

These Stitches are nothing more than a small muscular irritation/strain. They typically go away after 30-60 minutes. In the neck, they occur when the head is being held in a slightly unbalanced position. There should be no concern if they go away. If the pain persists or worsens, see a Dr for an examination.

While spasm of the diaphragm causes those sharp,stabbing side pains during running, neck stitches are not usual. However tightening of neck muscles can occur. If you note neck discomfort during other occasions, you might have a physician perform an examination of your neck structures.
