A member asked:

My vitamin b12 went from extremely deficient (less than 111) to extremely high (1104) in a month. i've been taking a supplement and trying to eat foods with b12 since the first test, but it still seems strange that it became so high so fast?

If you take a B12 supplement of 1,000 mcg/tablet along with high B12 foods, the level can increase significantly after one month. Level 1,104 is high but not extremely high ((normal range 132 to 857 pmol/L).

Depending on how much of B12 you took, getting a high level is not unusual. The level you cited is not harmful, though you can reduce your intake of B12. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. Get HPV vaccine. Wish you good health!
