Pseudoaneurysm is secondary to vascular damage due to catheterization, external trauma, surgery, infections, etc., and blood leaks around the vessel. This is NOT an acute rupture and typically may be fully asymptomatic, or be associated with local swelling or tenderness. Most commonly found in the femoral artery, very rare in cerebral vessels.
